Ama introduced the 1st 1-day post-graduate in-person training course in Dental Sleep Medicine to the UK in 2007. The course has successfully been running ever since, with an overwhelming 100% positive delegate feedback.

The on-line course is specifically designed for all members of the dental team and provides the necessary knowledge and tests understanding to permit clinicians to introduce Dental Sleep Medicine to their clinical practice. 

The 1-day program offers:

• An overview of sleep disordered breathing [Exploring the spectrum of sleep disorders, their prevalence, aetiology, clinical features, diagnosis and management]
• An overview of the role of mandibular advancement appliances [exploring their mode of action, selection criteria, clinical effectiveness and limitations]
• The application of screening and diagnostic tools in sleep disordered breathing [case studies and importance and benefits of working with sleep physicians]
• The practical steps to providing mandibular advancement appliances in routine dental practice
